About Dr. Samira Saleh
Education, Cultural Understanding, and Professional Growth
I’m Dr. Samira Saleh, a licensed professional counselor, clinical supervisor, and educator with a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision. With over ten years of experience in the mental health field, my work has focused on understanding the experiences of individuals and communities, particularly Muslims and other minoritized populations.
My professional interests bring together mental health, cultural understanding, education, and professional development. Through consulting, training, mentorship, and educational workshops, my goal is to empower individuals and organizations with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to grow, navigate challenges, and create meaningful change.
My Approach
I believe that meaningful learning and growth begin with understanding people within the context of their experiences, values, and communities. Developing this understanding requires curiosity, thoughtful reflection, and a willingness to look beyond assumptions.
This perspective informs my work across different settings. Whether I am supporting a professional in developing their practice, helping an organization strengthen its understanding of minoritized communities, or facilitating an educational workshop, I strive to make knowledge accessible, practical, and relevant to the people I serve.
My approach is rooted in empowerment. I believe people should feel equipped to recognize their strengths, make informed decisions, build confidence, and take meaningful steps toward their goals. My aim is not simply to provide information or guidance, but to help others develop the understanding and tools they need to move forward with greater independence and confidence.
Areas of Focus
My work and professional interests include several interconnected areas:
Muslim Cultural Understanding: Promoting greater awareness and understanding of Muslim communities, experiences, and perspectives.
Mental Health & Education: Supporting mental health awareness and education through culturally informed perspectives.
Professional Development: Helping emerging professionals navigate career transitions, develop their skills, and explore professional opportunities.
Business Development: Supporting aspiring entrepreneurs and professionals as they explore ideas, establish businesses, and navigate the challenges of building something new.
Personal Growth: Encouraging reflection, intentional decision-making, and continued development.
Who I Work With
I work with individuals, professionals, organizations, and community groups seeking guidance, education, and opportunities for growth. This includes aspiring entrepreneurs, counselors and emerging professionals, organizations interested in cultural awareness, and individuals seeking greater clarity and direction.
My work is not limited to one professional field or audience. I welcome opportunities to collaborate with people and organizations who value learning, growth, and meaningful development.
